Notes:
-
Without some addtional configuration changes after installation and publishing Map3D, when a non-admin user logs in, the user will not be able to use Map3D. Here are some typical errors such a user may see.
-
I've created a script that can help you with the changes needed. You can download it from http://community.citrix.com/x/R4I6Ag
-
Download the script. Let me show you the content and a brief introduction of how to use the script
-
Run save script to save information about this installation. Make sure the destination folder specified in the script exists. Create it if it doesn't exist yet. Make sure all users have read access to it
-
How to save the information to a different directory such as a network share
-
Run apply script manually to apply changes to a non-admin user
-
You can find a log about the execution in the user's profile directory named AutoDeskForCitrix.log
-
Verify Map3D works for the non-admin user by launching it from the desktop shortcut
-
Verify Map3D as a published application
-
Switch back to Admin desktop. A log about the execution of the save script is also created in the user's profile directory also named AutoDeskForCitrix.log
-
To make it easier, you can optionally run the apply script automatically whenever a user logs in.
-
You can put a short cut to the script in your startup folder. You can use group policy or other ways to achieve the same effect.
-
Login as another non admin user. Make sure you launch the desktop first at least once either remotely or from console.
-
The script runs automatically.
-
Verify the published Map3D application works
