This is a quick how to video showing how to browse, search and install applications on Ubuntu linux 8.04 version.
You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.

Open applications->Add/Remove menu

You can show different groups of applications. Try showing a larger group if the application you are looking for doesn't show up.

search for a popular networking tool wireshark as an example
-
check the check box and click apply changes to install
-
wireshark is installed and can be launched from Applications menu
